Dr. Coles has been cottaging in Haliburton County since birth. After graduating from the University of Toronto’s Medical Program, he went on to complete his family practice residency with the Northeastern Ontario Family Medicine program of the University of Ottawa.
As a physician, he first came to Haliburton County as a locum in Summer 1996, then moved permanently here to set up his family practice in 1998. Since that time, he has fulfilled a variety of roles including Chief of Staff of the Haliburton Highlands Health Services and has been the Lead Physician for the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Organization since 2002.
Scott has played an integral role in the success of the Family Health Team since the first lead partner meeting in December of 2004, having chaired the steering committee through planning, proposals, applications and development.
