Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted registration with the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons to practice family medicine.

Exhibited interest in participating in an interdiscplinary team.

Desire to Work in Emergency Department considered an asset.

Job Description: The successful Family Physician will be a partner of the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Network and provide comprehensive primary care to enroled patients of the FHN under a capitation model of remuneration, as well as affiliated, unaffiliated and visitor patients on a fee-for-service basis. The Family Physician will work closely with other physicians, nurse practitioners, Registered Nurses, Pharmacist, Dietitian, Social Worker and Chiropodist to ensure the patient recieves the right care from the right professional at the right time. The Family Physician will provide leadership to the development and implementation of comprehensive programming (healthy living, chronic disease management, seniors health and healthy kids), depending on interest, availability and ability. Provision of obstetrical care and emergency care are optional. The FHN / FHT uses technology to enhance the care patients recieve, including Electronic Health Records.
